Medicare Reform Law May Impact Retiree Medical Plans

The recently passed Medicare Patients and Providers Act of 2008 (the “Act”) includes a number of reforms to Medicare which may impact employer sponsored retiree medical plans. Specifically, the Act imposes additional requirements on Medicare Private Fee for Service (“PFFS”) plans.
